Income Tax Slabs 2012-13

In the Union Budget 2012-13, common man has got a marginal benefit in terms of income tax slabs. The tax slab is as follows:
1. For General Tax payers (male and female)
0 to 2,00,000 No tax
2,00,001 to 5,00,000 10%
5,00,001 to 10,00,000 20%
Above 10,00,000 30%

There is a benefit of Rs 2000 for a person earning between 180000 to 200000. Interestingly, its same for male and female tax payers. Interesting to note that, finally equal rights are getting implemented in Income tax as well.

2. Income Tax slab For Senior citizens (between 60 to 80 year old)

0 to 2,50,000 No tax
2,50,001 to 5,00,000 10%
5,00,001 to 10,00,000 20%
Above 10,00,000 30%

3. Income tax slab for Very Senior citizens (Age 80 and above)

0 to 5,00,000 No tax

PVR... Is it time to enter?

With Cricket World cup, IPL heating up... Production houses have been delaying new movie releases... I believe this quarter results of PVR, Inox will be very low. So is it the time to enter these stocks. Its very important for us to closely watch these 2 stocks over next few days. Soon after IPL we can see lots of new movies hitting the market and multiplexes buzzing with activities. 85 to 90 will be good point to enter PVR.

Happy investing!!!

Happy trading...

Aadukalam - We live Rooster Life

Aadukalam is all about Dhanush who is betrayed by his mentor in a very interesting backdrop. Its about Madurai where like Jallikattu, rooster fight also plays a significant role in the people living in the villages. People in this village give great importance to Rooster Fights and their pride is tied to rooster that wins. The story is about how a silly decision of not killing a rooster and making it take part in the rooster fight turns the life of Dhanush. The story is well supported by good music, interesting rooster fights (animation) and ruff & tuff acting from all the casts.

You will see people like Dhanush and his mentor in your real life. Bosses taking advantage of his power and overpowering his team members. The story clearly depicts the selfishness in human that can go to any levels of cheapness. Big mistakes that we do for small things is life is Aadukalam. The best analogy is when Dhanush-Dorai fight like rooster without understanding the background, by blindly following the instructions of their Mentor. That's Aadukalam for you!!!

I enjoyed it, except that I couldn't accept the climax while watching the movie (I am a typical masala movie watcher). But I believe this is the best climax that the director could have given to us. Watch it, you will feel the difference.

Airline & Hotel stocks to be watched

Holiday greetings to all!
The greeting says it all for my stock recommendations for this time of the year. Its the time when hospitality and travel industry gets the maximum earning if they are rightly positioned. Some of the stocks that I would suggest are: Mahindra Holidays, India Hotels, Kingfisher and SpiceJet airlines. Good service, facilities, margin will help these stocks move up by end of Jan when the results of these companies will be out

Happy Investing! Wishing you happy new year
